This is NOT a Hotel or a Lodge. This is a lovingly furnished and maintained second home of persons who occasionally visit Mysore.
This lake is home to over 180 species of exotic birds like Purple Moorhens, Painted Storks, Grey Herons, White Ibises, Pelicans, Darters, Cormorants, Coots, and several other species, birds that most non-Mysoreans would never have seen uncaged.
The resident caretaker can help you with hiring a taxi for sight-seeing in and around Mysore. Or with ordering and fetching food from nearby eateries, or with a steaming hot cup of tea or coffee.
Note: All the above are actual photographs of the home and its immediate environment taken recently. The video is from Youtube.
